We’ve been SUPER busy at our household moving into a new house, so I apologize for the lack of blog posts lately. I’ve got a TON of fun sessions lined up for March and I can’t wait to share the images from those. But in the meantime, I thought it would be fun to hold another contest to spice up the action on the blog! This is our biggest contest EVER and our first Cutest Baby & Child Contest!!

I’m sure I’m not the only one that is SO sick of Winter already. It’s always this time of year that I think we all start getting spring fever! Warmer days (aka – 40 degrees!) begin to appear and the snow slowly starts to melt. It won’t be long before those little crocus flowers are peeking through the last little bit of snow.
March is already upon us and with that, our calendar has been filling up quickly with Spring sessions! So, if you are hoping to get a session scheduled in the next couple of months, you’ll want to act quickly! We only have one opening left in March and two openings left in April! We’re also taking bookings in May and June now as well.
Worried about the weather? No reason to worry now as we now have indoor, natural light studio space at my home in Rosemount. Of course, we will prefer to stay on location for most of our sessons, but it’s a nice alternative in case the weather is an issue.
Of course since no post is complete without a photo, here’s a recent one of some snowflakes that were on my car window one morning.

We’re gearing up for our appearance this weekend at the Midwest Kids Fest! I’m so excited as this is the first time we have done something like this and we can’t wait to get our name out there some more and meet some new friendly faces! If you’re family is anything like ours at the moment, you’re DYING to get out of the house after this awful snow we’ve gotten this week. Well, this is the perfect opportunity to get everyone out and about to burn some energy and have some fun! The Midwest Kids Fest is running this Saturday and Sunday from 10 am until 5 pm each day at the St. Paul River Center. Happy New Year everyone!! 2009 was a wonderful year for us and we are SO excited for 2010! I have a lot of exciting things that I would like to implement this year and one of those is a new referral program!

The first year of your child’s life goes by in the blink of an eye. The changes that they go through from the time they’re a newborn until when they’re blowing out that big candle on their first birthday are utterly amazing. Don’t let a moment slip by! We are now offering 2 different baby plans to capture your child as they journey through their first year of life.
This plan might be different than what you are used to seeing, where you are told to come at specific intervals. We wanted to do something different and more flexible, so you can capture your child at whichever moment you want (or if you’re past the newborn phase, you can use it for moments later into the first year). So, while our plan does have a recommended timeline, we are happy to be flexible and see you whenever you’d like within the first year!
Here are the details and both of these packages can be purchase through our online ordering site. These are also a great way to give the mom-to-be in your life a gift that will stay with her forever.
First Footprints – $275
Our first year baby plan takes you from capturing your tiny newborn in the first weeks of life, all the way through their first birthday. This package covers 3 separate sessions through the first year at whichever increments of time you prefer. We recommend having newborn, 6 month and 1 year sessions, however we are happy to do whatever suits your style.
This package also includes:
- 10×20” Storyboard after the last session, featuring your favorite image from each session
- 20 page 8×8” coffee table album featuring a combination of your photos from all three sessions
- 10% off all announcements
- 10% off all regular print pricing
We also have a combo maternity/first year session as well.
Bump to Birthday – $500
This is a combination of our first year baby plan with an additional maternity session included. This package covers 4 separate sessions beginning with a maternity session and 3 additional sessions taking you through the first year, at whichever increments of time you prefer.
This package also includes:
- 16×20” Framed Print from Maternity Session
- 10×20” Storyboard after the last session, featuring your favorite image from each session
- 20 page 8×8” coffee table album featuring a combination of your photos from all three sessions
- 10% off all announcements
- 10% off all regular print pricing

Wow, I can’t believe the amazing response that we had to the portfolio building promotion in July! Thank you to all that have booked with me and have been sending referrals my way. Your support means the world to me in helping my photography business get off the ground. There aren’t words to express how thankful I am to each of you!
If you missed your chance at the complimentary session, fear not! I am now offering discounted sessions at 50% off their regular rate. This is still a great opportunity to have your familiy or children’s portraits taken in time for getting together those holiday cards (I know it’s only August, but we all know how quickly that will go by!) or for getting those senior portraits taken at the beginning of the school year.
But, be sure to book quickly as there are only a few weekend spots remaining in September and October. I’m happy to also book into early November for outdoor sessions with the understanding that the weather may not cooperate, but we’ll make the most of it.
