We are SO excited about the article that was published about our growing studio in yesterday’s Rosemount Town Pages! Be sure to check it out here. We are moving into the new studio space now and can’t wait for our first sessions there this weekend!

Our new studio is located in the Rosemount Market Square, 3420 150th Street West, Suite 105. We are located just off of Co. Rd. 42 by the Pond skating rink and Fireside restaurant! Studio hours will be by appointment only, but if you see us in there when you’re in the area, feel free to stop by and say hi!

We have some fun events coming up for the launch of our new space and we’d love to see you there!

We are only one week into August, but things are already filling up for the remainder of the year believe it or not! So, I thought I would post a quick scheduling update in case you’ve been considering booking a fall portrait session with us.

September – All weekend sessions booked, still have a few weekday and newborn openings. Grand Stroll Mini Sessions are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 10th. Click here for details.

October – Oct. 30th is the only remaining weekend date available. Weekday and newborn openings are available. Fall Mini Sessions will be held Sunday, October 16th! Be sure you’re signed up for our newsletter (you can do so at the left side of this blog or click here) to receive priority scheduling!

November – Only 3 weekend dates remain open (Nov. 12, 13 & 20th). We will only take bookings through November 20th to guarantee holiday ordering time.

December - We only accept a limited amount newborn bookings in the month of December. Please inquire ASAP if you are due in December.

And of course no post is complete without a photo! I just loved photographing this sweet baby girl a couple of weeks ago at the studio!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE photographing babies and kids, but every once in a while, it is such a blast to photograph a teenager! They follow directions, rock the poses and best of all, I don’t ever have to bribe them with candy (well, most of the time)

This was one of my favorite sessions ever. I met up with Becca and her mom in my old stomping ground of White Bear Lake and it was so much fun to see all of the little spots that grew up hanging out at. We got some fun urban style shots downtown and then headed out by the lake. You can’t do a session in White Bear Lake and not include at least a little bit of the lake, right? There was a boat landing nearby and we thought it would be fun for Becca to go into the water for a bit at the end of our session, they turned out so fun!

Thank you B & P for an amazing session! I can’t wait to do it again in a couple of years for your senior portraits!

I had the pleasure of meeting up with this beautiful lady on an equally beautiful evening in White Bear Lake. I forgot what an adorable town that is! I know she is anxious to see a few, so I had to share a couple of my favorites. She’s just stunning!

When I was asked to photograph this family, I couldn’t wait! Now, I’ve never actually shot a family this large before, but with an absolutely breathtaking location at one of their homes, and a bunch of great personalities, I knew it had potential! It was a lot of work to get everyone looking in the same direction, with their eyes open, and with relatively happy expressions on their faces, but we managed to get some great large group shots and some fabulous individual and smaller family shots (with the help of a head swap or two!)

S Family, thank you for allowing me to capture this special time while you were ALL together! It was truly a pleasure meeting every single one of you and I had a great time photographing you all!

I’m sure I’m not the only one that is SO sick of Winter already. It’s always this time of year that I think we all start getting spring fever! Warmer days (aka – 40 degrees!) begin to appear and the snow slowly starts to melt. It won’t be long before those little crocus flowers are peeking through the last little bit of snow.

March is already upon us and with that, our calendar has been filling up quickly with Spring sessions! So, if you are hoping to get a session scheduled in the next couple of months, you’ll want to act quickly! We only have one opening left in March and two openings left in April! We’re also taking bookings in May and June now as well.

Worried about the weather? No reason to worry now as we now have indoor, natural light studio space at my home in Rosemount. Of course, we will prefer to stay on location for most of our sessons, but it’s a nice alternative in case the weather is an issue.

Of course since no post is complete without a photo, here’s a recent one of some snowflakes that were on my car window one morning.

I love photographing seniors, they are so much fun and follow direction pretty well too. :-) We met up downtown Minneapolis for N’s senior portrait session. We even ventured over to the new Twins ballpark to get some shots with it in the background too. While we couldn’t get into the area by the park, it was still so cool to see the finished park and to envision what it will be like to go to games there next year. The L family and I got along great because we are all big baseball fans! We even had an interesting encounter with the “skyway security”, but all ended well and we had a great session.

Here are some of N’s best “head shots” that we put together for him to choose from for his yearbook photo. I’m excited for them to see the rest soon!

K is a senior at White Bear Lake High School this year and we met up on one of the first REALLY cold weekends of the season on the outskirts of downtown St. Paul. We found some really great spots to capture an assortment of looks and styles that brought out his great personality. These are some of my favorite senior shots to date!! I’m so lucky to get to work with so many awesome seniors and their families, and K was no exception.

I was super excited to be able to shoot A at not one, but two awesome locations. We started out at a great park (which I’ll definitely be taking future clients to) and then headed downtown for a more urban/grungy twist on her portraits. A is actually from up north, but was down here for the summer and I’m SO glad I was able to give her some hip, fun and unique portraits.

She really wanted some shots by First Avenue, so we had to go there. But we actually found some really cool other spots downtown as well.

Beautiful C is a senior at Becker and we met up to do her senior portraits downtown Minneapolis, which is quickly turning into my favorite location for sessions, so diverse! She was fun and full of spunk and I had such a great time hangin out with her, her friend and her mom (who happens to be one of my good friends too!)

It was so much fun having her friend there because she knew exactly what to say to get her to laugh, which in turn, gives us fabulous smiles!
