I’m sure I’m not the only one that is SO sick of Winter already. It’s always this time of year that I think we all start getting spring fever! Warmer days (aka – 40 degrees!) begin to appear and the snow slowly starts to melt. It won’t be long before those little crocus flowers are peeking through the last little bit of snow.
March is already upon us and with that, our calendar has been filling up quickly with Spring sessions! So, if you are hoping to get a session scheduled in the next couple of months, you’ll want to act quickly! We only have one opening left in March and two openings left in April! We’re also taking bookings in May and June now as well.
Worried about the weather? No reason to worry now as we now have indoor, natural light studio space at my home in Rosemount. Of course, we will prefer to stay on location for most of our sessons, but it’s a nice alternative in case the weather is an issue.
Of course since no post is complete without a photo, here’s a recent one of some snowflakes that were on my car window one morning.

I love photographing seniors, they are so much fun and follow direction pretty well too. :-) We met up downtown Minneapolis for N’s senior portrait session. We even ventured over to the new Twins ballpark to get some shots with it in the background too. While we couldn’t get into the area by the park, it was still so cool to see the finished park and to envision what it will be like to go to games there next year. The L family and I got along great because we are all big baseball fans! We even had an interesting encounter with the “skyway security”, but all ended well and we had a great session.
Here are some of N’s best “head shots” that we put together for him to choose from for his yearbook photo. I’m excited for them to see the rest soon!

K is a senior at White Bear Lake High School this year and we met up on one of the first REALLY cold weekends of the season on the outskirts of downtown St. Paul. We found some really great spots to capture an assortment of looks and styles that brought out his great personality. These are some of my favorite senior shots to date!! I’m so lucky to get to work with so many awesome seniors and their families, and K was no exception.
K, I can’t wait for you to see the rest. Thank you for being such a trooper in the cold weather! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

I was super excited to be able to shoot A at not one, but two awesome locations. We started out at a great park (which I’ll definitely be taking future clients to) and then headed downtown for a more urban/grungy twist on her portraits. A is actually from up north, but was down here for the summer and I’m SO glad I was able to give her some hip, fun and unique portraits.
She really wanted some shots by First Avenue, so we had to go there. But we actually found some really cool other spots downtown as well.
A, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and I can’t wati for you to see the rest of your portraits!

Beautiful C is a senior at Becker and we met up to do her senior portraits downtown Minneapolis, which is quickly turning into my favorite location for sessions, so diverse! She was fun and full of spunk and I had such a great time hangin out with her, her friend and her mom (who happens to be one of my good friends too!)
It was so much fun having her friend there because she knew exactly what to say to get her to laugh, which in turn, gives us fabulous smiles!
So C, here is your sneak peek! I can’t wait for you to see the rest!

I met up with J downtown Minneapolis last weekend for his senior portrait session. He was the first senior guy that I had the pleasure of shooting and it was a lot of fun taking a different approach to the session than I usually do with girls. We got to use some pretty funky locations and J was such an awesome subject and very photogenic.
So, J, here’s your sneak peek, I hope you enjoy it and can’t wait for you to see the rest!
I loved this spot we stumbled upon, so fun and funky

Last weekend I met up with gorgeous A downtown St. Paul for her 2010 Senior Portraits. It was hard to get a bad shot of her she was so flawless! We ventured around the city a bit and got some fun shots. I just love shooting seniors. They are so laid back and I don’t have to chase them around, LOL!
A, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek. I can’t wait for you to see the rest of your gallery!

Wow, I can’t believe the amazing response that we had to the portfolio building promotion in July! Thank you to all that have booked with me and have been sending referrals my way. Your support means the world to me in helping my photography business get off the ground. There aren’t words to express how thankful I am to each of you!
If you missed your chance at the complimentary session, fear not! I am now offering discounted sessions at 50% off their regular rate. This is still a great opportunity to have your familiy or children’s portraits taken in time for getting together those holiday cards (I know it’s only August, but we all know how quickly that will go by!) or for getting those senior portraits taken at the beginning of the school year.
But, be sure to book quickly as there are only a few weekend spots remaining in September and October. I’m happy to also book into early November for outdoor sessions with the understanding that the weather may not cooperate, but we’ll make the most of it.
To see the dates that are still available please visit our website at www.tentinytoesphoto.com and click on the Calendar link.
This discount will be good on any sessoins that are booked by December 31, 2009.
Hope you have all been having a wonderful summer! I can’t believe school will be starting back up in just a few weeks. The time is flying by WAY too quickly!

I have finally finished going through the hundreds of shots from Sam’s senior portrait session. I’m just so excited about how these all turned out! Here are a few more of my favorites that I just had to share. Thanks for all of the great comments on this session, it really means a lot to hear such great feedback!

We had a ton of fun taking some shots at First Avenue

This building was such an awesome location, I’ll definitely be bringing other clients there!
