I can’t think of a more precious gift to have right before Christmas than a new baby. The {S} family welcomed baby A into their home just over a week ago and I got to photograph him when he was just 6 wee days old. He was wonderfully adorable, with his strawberry blonde hair and his bluish eyes. He also was a fabulous little model for us and gave us some fun little poses to capture.
Mom & Dad were up for just about anything I thew there way, so we used some fun new props. We couldn’t pass up at least one Christmas photo too being he was born so close to Christmas. :-)

I have been counting down the days until I got to photograph this little guy. He’s the new baby of one of my bestest friends from high school and he’s about as cute as they come. Remember this beautiful mommy? Well, her wait is over and little {J} couldn’t be more perfect. He was just nine days old yesterday when we had his session and he was a rock star for us and slept right through without making a peep the entire time.
M & D, I had such a wonderful time meeting and photographing your little man. D, here’s the baseball one especially for you. Love you guys!

This little guy melted my heart from the moment I met him. He was full of smiles and laughter and was such a joy to work with and had THE most gorgeous blue eyes! Even though it was a bit chilly out, we had a great time hanging out indoors to get some fun shots of Mr. {K} and mom and dad. We did manage to get a few shots outdoors before we got too chilled though (thanks for tolerating it, guys!).
6 months is one of my favorite ages to photograph. {K} was so fully of energy and was anxious get moving and crawling and even showed me some of his Yoga poses!

Sweet little {V} is just five months old, but she has so much character and personality at her young age! I got to get together with her mom, dad and grandma for a fun little session at their home. We had fun with her cute outfits and some backgrounds and got some great shots with both mom, dad and grandma. She was SO smiley for us and was such a joy to photograph. She also had the biggest, most beautiful brown eyes. So cute!

I’ve had nothing but little newborn boys thus far (don’t get me wrong, I LOVE them too!) so it was SO wonderful when I found out I was going to get to photograph this precious, beautiful little one. I’ve had slew of hats just waiting around for a girl and mom and I didn’t waste any opportunities to use them! Sweet little {P} was a perfect little peanut for us.
She had THE most amazing hair too, it was just too cute to not get some shots of it. 
I love it when my mom’s are just as obsessed with Etsy as I am. She had this awesome one on the left.
And one more of the hair, just because I loved it SO much.

This little guy is one of my new baby planners. I’m stoked to be able to photograph him through his first year of life. We couldn’t have asked for his newborn session to go any better either. He was cashed out from the moment I arrived and slept great our entire session. It was so fun because his mom had THE best props and we used a ton of them! My particular favorite was this vintage baby scale. I’m definitely going to have to find one of these things to add to my prop collection. He also was sweet enough to model some new hats from Etsy too.

And, I had to save the best for last. This is “the Pose” in the newborn photography world that so many attempt to get. I’ve tried it a few times, but this was the first time I was able to get it. I told you he was the best!

I love my job. Seriously. I can’t think of many other ways that I’d rather spend my time other than photographing newborns in their first few weeks of life. They are so small and innocent and just pure perfection. Little {H} was no exception. He was the perfect little man for us and conked out pretty much from the moment I arrived and let us take such great shots of him!
I really wish I could express how grateful I feel that people choose *me* to photograph their children. It’s truly an honor and a blessing that I’m so lucky to get to do.

Handsome little {C} is just 6 months old and just so incredibly sweet! We met up at a gorgeous park along the St. Croix River for our session on one of the most beautiful fall days we’ve had this year. He really has one of the most sweet, laid back dispositions you’ll ever see in a baby! He was SO easy to photograph, as were mom and dad. This family is just so beautiful, I wish I could photograph them every day!

Little baby B was welcomed to the world on 09/09/09 at 9:09 am (can you imagine if he had been 9 lbs 9 oz?!) As you can see, he was definitely worth the wait, in more ways than one! It may have taken 2 tries for us to get him nice and sleepy, but once we got him there, he was just a gem. How can you resist his smooshy adorable lips? I know I can’t!
Thank you C family for welcoming me into your home, not once, but twice to capture your newest addition to your family. I can’t wait to see him grow over these next months and years. Enjoy your sneak peek!

A first birthday is such a special, bittersweet and fun occasion. I had the privilege of taking Miss M’s one year photos last weekend at one of my favorite parks. She was such a little cutie in her beautiful dress and was so content to stay wherever Mom and I sat her down. This is when not walking before the age of one is a really good thing! But, I’m sure it won’t be long until she’s chasing her big brother all over the place.
