Last weekend on a beautiful autumn day, little Miss {P} and her family met up with me at one of the gorgeous Minneapolis lakes that they live by. I was so happy that it was nice enough out for our session because I knew P’s gorgeous blonde hair and blue eyes would be beautiful in the sunlight. I love when I get to photograph little blondies because my kids have dark hair and eyes. We had so much fun watching her feed the few remaining ducks and just exploring and running around.

…Stays together! I met up with the V family on a brisk fall day as the leaves were just starting to turn that warm shade of yellow that is a sure sign that autumn is upon us. Their two boys, N & J, were quite comical and had me cracking up the entire time. They had as opposite of personalities as two brothers could have, but I could tell that they have a lot of fun together. They were such a fun family to photograph and we got some great photos!

This beautiful mommy to be is one of my best friends from high school. She’s expecting her first little one in just a few more weeks and I was so lucky to be able to hang out with her one night to get some fun maternity shots. We really had a great time at this nice little park and I took this as my chance to try to get some cool shots at sunset.
M, thank you SO much for allowing me to capture this special time in your life. I can’t wait for your little one to arrive and to meet them. It’s so funny to think way back when we were just cheerleaders in high school and to look at how far our lives have come. You and D are going to be great parents and will have SO much fun! A first birthday is such a special, bittersweet and fun occasion. I had the privilege of taking Miss M’s one year photos last weekend at one of my favorite parks. She was such a little cutie in her beautiful dress and was so content to stay wherever Mom and I sat her down. This is when not walking before the age of one is a really good thing! But, I’m sure it won’t be long until she’s chasing her big brother all over the place.

..and everything nice, that’s what little girls are made of! And this couldn’t have been more true of Miss E. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing E’s mom for the last 4 years or so and we used to work together and I was so excited when I had the opportunity to photograph this family.
We met up on a gorgeous Sunday morning at a beautiful park for E’s session. She was such a joy to work with and I had so much fun (as I always do, especially with this age).

I was super excited to be able to shoot A at not one, but two awesome locations. We started out at a great park (which I’ll definitely be taking future clients to) and then headed downtown for a more urban/grungy twist on her portraits. A is actually from up north, but was down here for the summer and I’m SO glad I was able to give her some hip, fun and unique portraits.
She really wanted some shots by First Avenue, so we had to go there. But we actually found some really cool other spots downtown as well.

Last night I had the pleasure of photographing these two absolutely adorable sweeties. Older sister A, was shy at first, but once she came out of her shell, she was all smiles and hamming it up. And Miss K was just too cute and trying to imitate her sister and chase her around. They had so much fun running around the garden that we were at and playing in the fountain there. We even managed to sneak in a few family shots.!

Last evening I got to photograph these two very busy boys. They kept me on my toes, but I had fun chasing them around and trying to capture a few smiles. It was so nice meeting you guys, and if you find a way to bottle up that energy somehow, let me know because I could sure use some!
