We’ve been SUPER busy at our household moving into a new house, so I apologize for the lack of blog posts lately. I’ve got a TON of fun sessions lined up for March and I can’t wait to share the images from those. But in the meantime, I thought it would be fun to hold another contest to spice up the action on the blog! This is our biggest contest EVER and our first Cutest Baby & Child Contest!!

I’m sure I’m not the only one that is SO sick of Winter already. It’s always this time of year that I think we all start getting spring fever! Warmer days (aka – 40 degrees!) begin to appear and the snow slowly starts to melt. It won’t be long before those little crocus flowers are peeking through the last little bit of snow.
March is already upon us and with that, our calendar has been filling up quickly with Spring sessions! So, if you are hoping to get a session scheduled in the next couple of months, you’ll want to act quickly! We only have one opening left in March and two openings left in April! We’re also taking bookings in May and June now as well.
Worried about the weather? No reason to worry now as we now have indoor, natural light studio space at my home in Rosemount. Of course, we will prefer to stay on location for most of our sessons, but it’s a nice alternative in case the weather is an issue.
Of course since no post is complete without a photo, here’s a recent one of some snowflakes that were on my car window one morning. 
We’re gearing up for our appearance this weekend at the Midwest Kids Fest! I’m so excited as this is the first time we have done something like this and we can’t wait to get our name out there some more and meet some new friendly faces! If you’re family is anything like ours at the moment, you’re DYING to get out of the house after this awful snow we’ve gotten this week. Well, this is the perfect opportunity to get everyone out and about to burn some energy and have some fun! The Midwest Kids Fest is running this Saturday and Sunday from 10 am until 5 pm each day at the St. Paul River Center. Admission is free for little ones one and under and we have ax exclusive coupon for all of the big people too! Prepare yourself for the cuteness! There’s nothing I love more than a sweet little girl to get all dressed up and girly. I LOVE these kinds of sessions where we bust out fun props and backdrops. Sweet Miss A’s family contacted me to have a 9 month session for their little peanut and she was as cute as could be!
She had the most gorgeous sparkly blue eyes.
And we had SO much fun with her in the tutu!
I just couldn’t resist her adorable little toes. This is one of my favorite shots.
Is she not just the sweetest thing ever?
And I love that mom and dad wanted to do some shots in her room with her favorite book.
And we braved the outdoors in one of the snowiest winters I can remember in a LONG time and took a few outside. She had the most adorable little fur coat and matching boots!

It’s time for another addition of What to Wear! I figured these would be a good way to fill in the gaps during the slow season of sessions. And besides, this is sort of like shopping for me too, and I can’t say No to that!
I’m working on a “wintry” theme one, but this one would be great for fall photos or even those late winter photos when it’s not quite “spring” yet, but more of an early spring. I love combining blue and orange and these outfits bring out some great combinations of those colors. All of these outfits can be found at Old Navy.

There’s nothing like the bond between a boy and his favorite baseball. This ball is pretty meaningful to my little man. We went to one of the last Twins games at the Metrodome this fall and had some amazing seats courtesy of my full time job. So amazing, that we had about 15 or so foul balls fly over our heads! Now, one would think that it’s an easy feat to catch one of these foul balls, especially when you’re in the 2nd row, but I’ve decided it’s one of the hardest things to do, and that the baseball God’s have to be on your side if you are to become a proud owner of one of these.
Well, one of the many flew *right* past us, and of course, I was distracted by Joe Mauer’s cuteness and not paying attention! Thankfully, a woman a couple of seats over from us caught it. She was SO sweet and decided that Tyson was to be the proud new owner of that little ball and gave it to him. I think it may have only been use for a few short minutes in the game, but it was SO awesome to see the joy on Ty’s face when he got it. He held onto it so tightly for the rest of the game, and it now has a special place on his shelf in his room next to his other sports momentos.
So, when I wanted to practice on my new seamless paper, I told him I would let him take some pictures with his special baseball. He quickly decided that he wanted to put on his Twins jersey as well and well, they turned out pretty cute, if I do say so myself! We now have a fun storyboard that I’m going to get made into a canvas for his new room (when we hopefully move in a couple of months!)
